Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it — in plain language, as it should be.

Last updated April 8, 2026

The Brand Collector cares about your privacy. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It's written in plain language on purpose.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to The Brand Collector's editorial journal. It does not cover our wholesale platform or our shop, each of which has its own policy.

What we collect

When you read the journal. Nothing that identifies you. Your browser automatically sends us technical information — IP address, browser type, referring page — which we use to serve the page and protect against abuse.

When you sign in as an editor. An email address and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. That's the extent of it.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep editors signed in to the back-office. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

How long we keep your data

Editor accounts exist for as long as the collaboration lasts. Ask us to delete them at any time and we will, without delay.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We rely on hosting, database and email providers who process data on our behalf, under strict confidentiality agreements.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access. Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
  • Deletion. Ask us to remove your data.
  • Portability. Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection. Tell us to stop processing your data.

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@thebrandcollector.com. We respond within thirty days.

International transfers

Some of our providers operate outside the European Union. When they do, we make sure the transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, in the most sensitive cases, email the people affected.
